Business Development Manager

The Position
We are looking for an experienced sales person who is highly organized, outgoing and has experience with key account acquisition, management, and business development. This is a revenue-driving, results-based position selling business memberships, regional and national sponsorships, advertising, and programming that supports the growth of ACE nationally.

This role will work independently and remotely and directly collaborate with the CEO and the Operations Manager. The Business Development Manager will be a continual knowledge seeker, demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, and will work collaboratively with our national team to identify opportunities.

Who you are

You are well connected; have experience working with event sponsorship and have experience working with national brands. You are well spoken, professional and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

You will spend much of your time seeking new business opportunities and networking. You push to achieve the financial targets that support the success of the business strategy for ACE. To make this happen you must establish and directly cultivate relationships across a wide range of people and businesses.

You take customer service and sales seriously, but have fun working with ACE team. You value integrity and work independently. You take ownership and show initiative in everything you do and are performance driven.  You not only love the culture but contribute to it.

 Essential Functions

  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully designing strategic sales plans

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales objectives and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for services

  • Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets and targets

  • Attend weekly meetings

  • Draft proposals

  • Contribute to strategic plans for our partners to position their brand according to our brand guidelines and values

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry partners, influencers and key partners

  • Keep the team informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations

  • Directs the sales and marketing team to execute on contracts and opportunities.

  • Manage a CRM

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years related Sales, Marketing and Key Account Management experience

  • Experience with events, sponsorship or advertising in some capacity

  • Customer Facing Account Management experience (preferably with national accounts)

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of CRM tools an asset

  • Understanding of financial statements

  • Proven presentation skills

  • B2B sales, selling non-tangibles or services

  • Exceptional organizational skills as well as the ability to multitask among a multitude of projects and responsibilities

  • A team player with the ability and willingness to accept and provide feedback

Compensation

Target annual sales: 400K

Base  + commission
