Ace: What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?
Kat: To trust the process and be patient, and to start cultivating daily habits (water, workout, reading, meditation, journalling).
Ace: Which women inspire you and why?
Kat: Myself. When you inspire yourself, it’s a reminder that you’ve come so far and are capable of astronomical achievements.
Ace: What can guests expect you to talk about at RISE?
Kat: Guests will not only walk away with the tools, knowledge and confidence to create a solid 12 month’s worth of content, but also leave with an actual planning system to support them for the next 15 months.
Ace: What is your proudest mistake?
Kat: Creating a product I was completely unhappy with (at first), but I couldn’t afford to hold the inventory. So I bit my tongue, launched it anyway and it sold out within a few months. Progress over pretty.
Ace: What does supporting women mean to you?
Kat: For me, supporting women isn’t simply an action — it’s a lifestyle. Buy from female-run businesses, post about them on social, and offer your expertise to women who are starting out. Go see female-directed films, dine at female-owned restaurants, and attend female-focused events when possible. There’s nothing stronger than a community of women determined to all rise together.
Ace: What’s your personal goal or resolution for 2019?
Kat: Two words: ALL IN
