Meet Our RISE Speakers: Tonia Mattu

Craving a deeper more impactful life led Tonia Mattu to the realization that she needed to stop looking outward for answers, and she needed to start looking within. Taking a dive into personal development, she also identified the strong need for tools to exist for others to not only relate to, but also implement into their lives to make real, transformative change.

We cannot wait to have the connoisseur of connection take the stage at RISE this October, get to know her a little deeper before seeing her take the mic.

Tonia Mattu RISE The Ace Class

ACE: What’s one piece of advice you would give your younger self?

Tonia: Your authenticity is your power. It will always be with you (no matter what happens to you) and it will help you connect with people more deeply, become compassionate, and relatable. It’s all people really want from you, and it’s the best quality to look for in the people you choose to spend your time with.

ACE: How do you empower other women?

Tonia: I’m not afraid to talk about my failures and admit that I’m still a work in progress. There’s something quite magical about being honest and relatable — while teaching and sharing tools and ideas on how to become your most authentic self. It’s as if my authenticity empowers my students to do the same, and the result is a collective of women being who they are, unapologetically.

ACE: Mistakes are portals for growth. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from a mistake or failure?

Tonia: Not asking for help sooner. I let a time in my life spiral so out of control that I literally stopped a 747 airplane from taking off. It’s not something I’m proud of, but it was in that moment, where I realized I couldn’t do everything myself, and that being vulnerable would be my key to move forward and would become one of my greatest tools for growth.

ACE: What’s a belief you’re ready to release, or rise from, and a new one you’d like to adopt?

Tonia: Anything is possible! After experiencing a few failures and things that “didn’t work out as planned,” I have to remind myself to keep cultivating the BIG out of the box ideas. If I believe in them strong enough, the forces of the universe will work together to help make it possible. I’ve always had this mindset, but it’s something that I have to remind myself that will always hold true.

ACE: What can guests expect you to talk about at RISE?

Tonia: I tend to talk a lot about reinventing yourself, as it’s something the majority of modern women today are currently dealing with in one way or another, and if they’re not, they will be soon enough. Reinvention has become an inevitable part of women’s lives and it’s easy to feel isolated, lost and confused in the process. I’ve experienced these emotions deeply, and eventually found a way to overcome and RISE in ways I never knew I could. I now work with modern women in transition with my business YUOLOGY, the study of you, that teaches confidence, clarity and the courage to design your dream life.

ACE: What are you rising from, to or for?

Tonia: I’m rising for my younger self who felt like she failed, and for all the women who feel (or have ever felt) this way. It’s easy to lose your confidence when you experience unexpected change or when you literally lose sight of who you are and what you want to do with your life. I’m rising from this misconception and I’m committed to share this knowledge, to empower women to be their boldest, most confident selves in their lives and businesses
