ACE: WHAT ARE YOU UP TO? ( YOUR CURRENT HUSTLE )
Amber: I am an Emotional Eating, Digestive & Hormone Expert and Holistic Nutritionist. I have owned my own business Amber Approved Inc. for 5 years now. I primarily coach women and business owners to build a healthy relationship with themselves and with food. I coach all of my clients online. I want people to live their happiest and healthiest life full of freedom! I also host “The No Sugarcoating Podcast”, create all my own gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free recipes, and do lots of speaking and workshops around mindset, self-care and health.
ACE: WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT TO YOU? ( WHERE DID THIS PASSION COME FROM? )
Amber: This passion comes from my own personal journey of overcoming my own self-hate, body shame and food addiction. Growing up I was very self-conscious and always wished to be thinner. I started dieting around 9 or 10 years old and up until my mid-twenties I was fighting with my body. Once I hit 21 I had my heart broken and was destined to have the perfect body to win love back. When that didn’t work, a switch flipped inside me. I turned to food, and spent my days obsessing over food and binging. After gaining and losing 1,000 pounds in 5 years, and spending a ridiculous amount of money on binge food and diets, I was determined to take my health back. So I embarked on a new path to overcome my food addiction, make peace with my body, learn to love myself, and get my health back.
Everything I specialize in with my clients, I have personally experienced. The cravings, the binge/restriction, the hormone imbalances, the digestive issues, low energy, the negative, controlling and perfectionist mindset, I’ve been there. Sharing my story and helping others let’s people know they aren’t alone, and you don’t have to be ashamed about what you are struggling with. There is hope, you have courage, and there is always the opportunity to make change. Every single person on this Earth is worthy to overcome their struggles and create a beautiful life you love while living in a healthy body you also love. I don’t regret a moment of my suffering, as it’s created my soul’s purpose, which I am forever grateful for.
ACE: WHAT WAS YOUR DREAM JOB GROWING UP? HOW DO YOU THINK THIS HAS INFLUENCED WHO YOU ARE TODAY?
Amber: My dream job growing up was to be a rock star, or a TV host. I think having a BIG imagination that is limitless has really influenced who I am today. I don’t believe in, “I can’t”, or “that’s not realistic”. The bigger the imagination the better, you can have everything you dream you can!
ACE: IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN ONLY THREE WORDS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
Amber: Inspiring. Fun. Loving.
ACE: WHO’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION AND WHY?
Amber: Oprah. She lives and breathes 'dream big, live big', she is so deep in her fulfillment on this Earth, she is a creator, and I love her stand in spirituality, manifestation and law of attraction.
ACE: WHAT DOES THE TERM “BOSS BABE” MEAN TO YOU?
Amber: Femininity, confidence, power, and we can all own our journey and our business.
ACE: HOW DO YOU EMPOWER OTHER WOMEN?
Amber: I empower other women by supporting them. I support them to create a new identity that serves their highest good, break free of limiting beliefs, negative mindsets and unhealthy relationships with food and themselves that no longer serve them. I help women build self-love, self-confidence, to listen, to inspire, to support, to lift up. Some say they get their life back after embarking on the journey.
I think there are so many amazing opportunities for women to empower other women, for us to all lift each other up in support, and build this peace and power together. Collaboration, sharing others stories, building relationships and friendships to support each other is key. Encouraging others is a big part of giving them permission to dream big too.
ACE: WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED FROM ANOTHER WOMAN?
Amber: You attract who you are. So as you attract things into your life, use them as a mirror to reflect back toward yourself. If you don’t like what you see, ask what within yourself can you shift or work on? Truly, take responsibility for your stuff - no blame, no putting it on anyone else, own who you are, and use each experience as an opportunity to grow.
ACE: CAN YOU SHARE THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU’VE LEARNED FROM A FAILURE?
Amber: Failure is GOLD! You learn so much from failure, you get stronger from it, have more tools in your tool belt for growth, and are able to create even more breakthroughs with it. Never be afraid of failure, it’s a good thing, just embrace it.
ACE: WHEN YOU ARE FEELING OVERWHELMED, WHAT DO YOU DO TO FIND PEACE?
Amber: I close my eyes and find peace within. Connecting with myself and ensuring my inner self feels safe and calm is key. Self-care is a very important part of my day.
ACE: WHAT LEGACY DO YOU HOPE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR?
Amber: For having a ground breaking influence in supporting a movement to empower women to love and embrace themselves all over the world. I hope to end the fight with self, end the body shame/hate, end the unhealthy dieting yo-yo, and build peace so women and men can live lives they love. I want to support as many people as possible on this Earth to know, and more importantly feel that they are good enough and worthy to live their most beautiful life.
